Jeanine Newell is a world traveler, artist, college graduate, wanderer with a flair for finding and documenting the familiar in unique and captivating ways. She is like a chameleon; quick to adapt to her environment and make it her own. Jeanine’s ease, with which she helps her subjects become comfortable with their surroundings, shows in the intimate expressions found in her portrait series. Besides intimate portraits, Jeanine truly enjoys the thrill and challenge of Action photography. She can be found rolling in the dirt, paddling fierce rapids, and racing around in the snow to capture some of the world’s most dangerous action sports in their natural settings.
Jeanine’s versatility goes beyond intimate portraits and action sports. A softer side of her can be seen in her first love for photography - black and white film. To this day, she can still be found spending hours perfecting this dying art form. She creates strong visual images in a darkroom to present to clients, family, and friends as another perspective of the world seen only in shape and shadow.
